Counterclaims by (1) Jean Planeau for 拢504 8s 10d for a mortgage on 17 enslaved persons dated 27th September 1831 (2) Numa Duval for 拢90 11s 7d from a judgement of the Court of First Instance dated 19th June 1833 (3) Jacques Dureau for 拢286 4s 0d with a judgement from the Court of First Instance dated 6th April 1835 (4) Rey brothers (R.B. and H. Rey in Port Louis) for 拢1351 15s 1d from a judgement of the Court of First Instance dated 1st June 1835 (5) Rey brothers (R.B. and H. Rey) for 拢2324 0s 0d for a mortage dated 16th January 1834 upon 115 enslaved persons (6) Jacques Chastugner Dum茅e, planter in Pamplemousses, for 拢1104 9s 9d for a mortgage dated 5th Febuary 1834 (7) Louis de Drusina for 拢760 4s 10d for a mortgage dated 3rd October 1833 (8) Henry Passmore for the late firm of Thomson Passmore and Thompson, for 拢4197 10s 10d, creditor under assignment by Albert & Etienne Bouchet, dated 10th July 1833 for the sum then due to him by the copartners Albert + Bouchet, along with a mortgage and other payments due to Passmore from Albert + Bouchet. Passmore and his attorney Samuel Brazier attempt to postpone the payment to the Rey brothers by making an appeal to the Supreme Court. Final outcome: 拢504 8s 9d transferred to Marriane Mens, widow of Jean Planeau, on 11th July 1842; 拢3265 9s 10d awarded to Henry Passmore and William Thompson on 15th June 1844.
