Simangaliso Mpofu

Simangaliso Mpofu is a Applied Learning and Stakeholder Manager (Maternity Cover) at the ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP).

Simangaliso is a Corporate Policy Postgraduate with a robust background in managing executive briefings and short courses, drafting tenders, and fostering stakeholder relationships across international organisations and NGOs. Her expertise spans diplomacy, project management, and leadership, underpinned by financial reporting proficiency, and a solid foundation in international relations.

In her previous role as an Enterprise and Innovation Officer since October 2019, Simangaliso has successfully managed and delivered high-profile briefing events for ambassadors, senior diplomats, government departments, and UNICEF representatives. She has also written and submitted successful tenders and proposals for International NGOs and government bodies and wrote consultancy contracts. Furthermore, she has commercialised academic knowledge by developing and delivering bespoke executive education programs and fostering student enterprise innovation through competitions, mentoring, and funding.

Previously, as a Business Partnerships Officer from February 2018 to October 2019, Simangaliso delivered EU-funded ERDF bid projects and influenced the growth of start-ups and SMEs through Knowledge Exchange activities. She also managed relationships between the university and local government organisations, raising awareness of knowledge exchange activities through presentations and networking events.

Her voluntary work includes teaching Sunday School and participating in a homeless feeding project.
